My torts r indoors but its getting cold outside i havent turned the heat on yet for winter cuz its not that cold inside but last night my heat lamp went out for my torts hope there goning to be ok i feel bad like i should have checked on them in the middle of the night lkke i do my daughter

What were the night temps last night? You have a normal bulb on at night, or was this a colored bulb for night time? Either way, this is just one reason I prefer CHEs set on a thermostat to a heat bulb. CHEs rarely burn out.

Its was a heat bulb and the house temp was about 70 but this is the 2ed one in 2 weeks

All incandescent bulbs produce heat, so calling it a "heat" bulb doesn't tell me if its light or dark in your enclosure. It needs to be dark, but still warm for a leopard tortoise. This is why I suggest the CHE on a thermostat. It will maintain the correct temperatures day and night for you, but also leave it dark at night for the tortoise.

70 is too cool for leopard tortoises.

There enclosure is normaly 80 and basking spot 98 there enclosure is half light and half dark
