First 2009 Hatchling PIC

Yesterday my first box turtle egg of this year started to hatch. It's a Florida box turtle baby!

Some of you may remember this picture of Mom after she laid her eggs on
March 2, 2009.

And below is a first for me. I found the baby this morning, totally upside down in it's egg shell sleeping! I never had this happen before!
Don't worry, I turned her right side up and she's OK now.

AWWW Patrick, that is a precious photo of the baby sleeping...must have been kinda funny too. Glad he/she is okay though! Can't wait to see more pics

Very nice pictures Patrick. Congrats!! We had one of the pancakes pip on the top of the egg, but it was not totally upside down like yours. What little cuties.
