Can my greek tort eat Broccoli? I found my niece had fed him it is that ok? He loves it!

I do believe its on the do not feed list. However, check it out on thetortoisetable.org.uk

If you are asking if he will be ok, then sure, a little isn't going to hurt. I wouldn't feed it to them purposely though.

He will be fine, it is an item that should only occur from time to time...I mean, it has benefits but should not be done regularly :D

Spinish and broccoli both need calsum for digestion of both veggys . But it's not going to hurt the yort

Broccoli is the only thing my tort will eat right now!! He was eating collard greens then decided he wasn't going to eat it anymore and didn't eat for a week... I live in rural WA and can only buy very limited store bought food and he gets a supplement.

Please understand that broccoli is a very healthy and nutrient-rich vegetable, however it is a cruciferous vegetable. Eating too much of it can suppress the function of the thyroid gland by interfering with iodine uptake, which can, as a result, cause an enlargement of the thyroid (goiter).
