Forget-me-nots and.....

The first one is Forget-Me-Nots, am I correct?

But the second ones are all around my yard too, but cannot find an identification.

Can you wonderful tortoise helpers help me in my small crisis?

No, Carl...the first one is Johnny Jump Up or viola. It is quite tasty and both you and your tortoise can eat it.

I'm not sure about the second one. It sort of looks like flocks. Does it have a really strong smell? Can we maybe see the whole plant?

As you can see I am extremely terrible at identifying plants ....

That might be vetch. Its edible, however, if allowed to get moldy, it turns toxic.
