Well, Gaia made a surprise return today! It’s been a few months since Gaia disappeared. I looked all thru the yard and found nothing…. After asking around and posting lost tortoise posters around the park. On neighboring mentioned hearing people say “it’s over here” in the middle of the night so I assumed she was stolen and Eros (and I) missed her terribly!
Today she is just walking around the yard like she never left…. Turns out she did not leave! She got underneath our house thru some loose skirting…. Today she found her way out… she drank ALOT of water and ate everything we put before her, Romain lettuce, red cabbage and lots of fresh grape leaves
Eros has not let her out of his sight since she re-appeared
