Hi, I’ve got a couple questions regarding the gaps between scutes in my new rescues shell. I’m working on getting her back in good health which includes daily soaks. She’s got some fine debris in the gaps and I’m wondering the safest way to get it out… a full rinse or deep soak comes to mind, but i’ve been hesitant to wet or even mist her back because i’m concerned about moisture getting trapped under there and causing bacterial infections or shell rot. any ideas? Guy at the reptile shop mentioned using a soft brush… thoughts on that? would love to give her a bath regardless.
