I'm struggling to understand this so if anyone could enlighten me that would be great.
I have a hypo het albino redfoot.
From what I understand, "hypo" has co-dominant alleles and albinism is recessive. So with my redfoot, is the albinism still recessive? Or can it become dominant?
What would any outcomes be if it was to breed with, for example, a normal redfoot.
Also, if a hypo does have co-dominant alleles, wouldn't a het express the colours of a normal as well as lacking some pigment?
Any input would be helpful, thanks
