Always a tough time for us as we would like to hold back about half of our hatchlings each year. But the reality is that they have to go to new homes as I simply cannot keep 30 or 40 new mouths each year. In addition, there is still about a dozen eggs left that will hatch in the next month and by that time the incubators will have started to fill up again.
But there is always one or two really outstanding hatchlings that make it a hard choice.

Makes me want redfoots again.....but living in Arizona makes it tough on the redfoots and tough on me trying to keep the humidity up for them.
I guess the recipe for their keeping there would be lots of shade and automatic irrigation in their hiding spaces?
