Good or bad change in shell?

The first picture i took was when we first got him. (About a month ago). The second is from two days ago. Why does it look different? Maybe its the lighting?

I'm no expert, but your tort looks great to me if not better.
As long as you follow one of the care sheets for your type of tort and make sure you have him in the right setting and what's needed for a baby tort he should grow just fine.
