grass seed

Hi guys
Can I throw some of these grass seeds and clover seeds into the enclosure, let them grow from coco coir?

yea you could but i think he gunna eat it pretty fast

coco fiber is a great medium to grow in

Yes, you can grow grass seed in your enclosure. Emrys has lots growing in his, along with lettuce. Makes for a nice texture, and looks nice. :)

Just take care when buying. Some grass seed is treated with chemicals to stop birds eating it or fertilisers to encourage rapid growth. You need plain seed.

sure can but make sure it is just seed no additives, i regularly mix birdseed in with my substright they eat some but trample most of it :) it does look cool though :)

yea, I think I just grow some grass inside the tank,
what brand or kind of seed did you use?:D

lol....what brand or kind of grass seed did you grow? or any kind that you recommend? 'cause when I checked online, there are alot that includes fertilizer, not sure about the chemical tho

The one I used was Westland. I've had a look on their website to link you to the specific one so you could see, but it doesn't appear to be on their site. I just bought it from a local garden centre, and it was only a small box. I just went for the cheapest thing with no additives, but it started growing within a day, likely thanks to the MVB.

the name and brand is i am looking for .
it's doesn't matter, I will try to find it from a local store see if they have it.

by the way, clovers are also safe to feed tort right? I'd like grow some of those too :p

so all I have to look for is, not include additives, no chemical, no fertilisers right?
