Hello, I am looking to add to the time my tort can spend outside, I am in zone 7(Delaware) I am currently building a green house outside and was curious if my tort can spend time in there in the winter months instead of being cooped up in my basement all winter. He would be inside at night when it is coldest and i would not let him out when its absolutely freezing. But wasn't sure if a greenhouse with heating pads, lighting and ceramic heat lamps would suffice.

Also, within the space we plan to use as a winter enclosure we currently grow grasses and greens for our reptiles (beardie and sulcata...and ourselves lol) We use tri-color grow lights that give off a reddish/bluish light - it's supposed to mimic the UV of natural sun but I've heard that you shouldn't use red light with Sulcatas.

As a side note - this is only for next winter. We are moving to TN next year and will have much warmer weather.

Thanks for any info!
Sara
