How often can I feed my toroise Guamamela without causing health problems to it?Would it be safe to feed Guamamela everyday to tortoises? The reason for me asking this question is because I live here in the Philippines and Guamamela is kinda abundant here.
Thanks.

I read all the time about people feeding hibiscus to their tortoises. I don't know if there's a limit to how much, but I would think it's always a good idea to feed a variety of food to your tortoise to ensure optimum health. :)

If you are in the P.I., there are probably plenty of weeds for your tortoise to eat, and if you supplement that with the occasional fruit, squash or other veggies, your tortoise should reflect that healthy diet with healthy growth and weight gain. There are lots of Sulcata keepers on this forum who will give you good advice on diet, right guys? :p

If you have a Sulcata, you should read through the sections "Sulcata Central" and "Food and Diet" to provide you with more details of what to feed your tortoise.

Hibiscus ( Rose of Sharon ) is a 'staple' for my redfoots in the summer... no need to be too concerned about all that variety. Why would you want to feed 'empty' food with all that good stuff available? Your torts won't get bored.

Did you mention the species, size, etc.?.. that could make a difference how much.
