Hatchling substrate

I was wondering what I should use for a substrate for my hatchling sully that I'm getting in a few days. I have read a bunch of different ideas, but I'm looking for hatchling specifically. I've read they don't eat grass at that hatchling age, but would timothy grass be good for substrate? I've also seen cypress recomended, is this the same as cypress mulch that you buy in bulk at a Home Depot store? Or is there a better option, it will be kept indoors for now.
