Hey guys and gals. I have been having the hardest time deciding on good plants to plant inside my cherry's enclosure. I need some that do not require full sun and that if he/she decided to eat would be fine. I would prefer he/she didn't eat them though. I just got a second job over at the home depot in the garden department and am having a hard time still. I have read what plants are okay. Any suggestions on whats been a proven winner in this situation. Thanks in advance.

I haven't looked at that peticular list but I was just curious what others use that works for the indoor enviroment of a redfoot such as low light ect.... I took my light out of the enclosure. It stays bright enough during the day and also with the living room lights on.

Try some frog moss around his water dish. Also, per advice from Terry and Terra, I planted some seeds (Chia, Dichondra and Broadleaf mix from carolinapetsupply) in a small plastic salad container; once they sprouted and grew to about 2 inches, I dug the entire container down into the substrate so it is at "eating level" for Taco. ;)

She ignores it, of course, but it also holds some humidity in her enclosure so there it remains. :p

Pio and Terra's Leopards eat theirs down to the roots. :D

Take a look at Hostas. I use them in my outdoor Redfoot pen and they are great. They have huge leaves that create a lot of shade. My guys love to hang out underneath them when it's hot and they don't eat them. Hostas are really hardy and will do fine in low sunlight.

I have 6 of these plants in my backyard, never knew what they were called. Are they safe for RFs to eat?
