It's starting to get cold here now, i usually leave on my 1 year old Greeks heat lamp for the day but over the past few months I have found him flipped on his back from where he has been climbing, do I take the risk and leave it on while I'm at work for about 6 hours or turn it off to be safe :-/ any help would be appreciated

That is scary & I would hate to leave the tort without heat & light....
Posting a picture of his enclosure would be helpful for everyone to see what the risky spots may be.

They need a basking spot, but you need to figure out what is causing this problem and solve that issue.

What size enclosure? What substrate? Furniture? What are your four temperatures? Warm side, cool side, basking area and night? What are you using for heating and lighting? UV bulb?

I will add picture of his enclosure when I get home later to give you more of an idea, I have moved everything away from the light so he can't climb on anything, since reading someone's had died by being on his back under the light has just made me bit more nervous :-/
