What can I do for my adults that won’t go in to there home for heat , they would rather take cover under the split leaf philodendrons then go in there homes

You have to put them in there until they realize it is a better place to be. Once it becomes a habit, they will usually do it. Sometimes Charlie will decide to stay out and I have to get help to move him.

What kind of torts and how big are they?

This is what I had to do every night to one of the Manouria tortoises that wouldn't go into the shelter at night:

Sulcatas are a bit smarter. It only takes a time or two of putting them away at night for them to get the message.

Is there just one heated home for both? Maybe they don't want to be together.

How cold does it get there at night in winter?

Do you have just a pair?

I would put them all in their boxes any time the night temp dips below 70 and any time the next day isn't going to be at least in the 80s.
