Hi Tanya, and welcome to the Forum!

Can we see more pictures please? I'm thinking some species of Greek tortoise, but I'd like to see pictures not quite so blurry, and maybe a shot of his underside too.

Hello and Welcome:). The pic is kinda hard to tell what kind for sure. S/he sure is a cutie though. However, what ever kind it is, that substrate is not really recommended. After more pics, and species determined, someone would be able to recommend a better substrate.

Don't give up yet. It's still early. We have many, many folks here on the Forum and someone will know what kind of tortoise it is.

He looks great!

I think it's a greek tortoise. Which subspecies I'm not quite sure.

Could you take a picture looking straight to his tail? Usually Greeks have two spurs on either side of their tail. And also on the backs of their legs. I also think it is a Greek, but DEFINITLEY not an Ibera Greek. I think it might be a golden Greek (?) Here is my Ibera Greek:

These are golden Greeks (not mine)

I would guess at testudo graeca graeca. I am pretty certain it is a Greek.

Looks like a kind of Greek tortoise to me although unsure of the subspecies lol
Still a bit of a newbie here.

But you can see the little spurs near his butt, so seems Greek to me :)

Could ya get a close up of his butt? I know my greeks got spurs back there. I think it's a golden Greek or a hybrid? I don't know, I have never seen a tortoise without dots on the scutes.
