Go get some Terro ant baits. Put them in the ants path, and then leave the ants alone. They will swarm all over it for a day or two and carry the stuff back to the queen and the rest of the colony. Soon you won't have an ant problem anymore.

Go to a feed store, or online, and get the edible Diatomaceous Earth (Food Grade) and sprinkle it around the perimeter of the enclosure and around the food bowl. It's not poisonous to the torts because it's food grade. Make sure it's the food grade kind because there's the commercial/industrial grade which is poisonous. That's the best, non-poisonous remedy I know of, and it works! You'll not only keep ants out, but all other creepy crawlers away.

This. I put it down whenever I change the substrate or clean the tables. I had fire ants outside last year and used it on and around the garden and on the ant bed itself and they have not come back in almost 8 months. They do not carry it to the queen but every ant that touches it will die so i sprinkle it on and all around the bed and then poke it with a stick to make them mad. Every ant will swarm out into the DE and before you know it, no more ants! Just make sure you put more down if it rains and turn off your sprinklers for a few days. The stuff is cheap too. About $10 for more than you can use in a year or two.

If you do use ant baits, cover them with a 1x1 patio stone. Just to be safe...
