Shout out to all the lovely workers at UPS who helped me get my baby! After talking with the breeder, we decided it would be best to pick him up and ensure to keep his temps high and ensure he has as little stress as possible! My main focus right now is making sure he stays happy and healthy! I had to drive 40 minutes to the UPS facility to grab him and my heart was racing the entire time! Never been so relieved to see such a sweet little faceView attachment 379452

I can’t tell you how happy I am that you picked him up! I absolutely have no doubt it was the right course of action in this case, he’s best with his new found parent in his cosy new home, the fact he’s eating and basking is a brilliant sign! I really think a few weeks of nice warm temps will get him on the mend for you

Thank you so much! I honestly think he’s happy to be home! He goes to his food and eats, goes to bask, then back to his food, then back to bask. he’s easting as we speak. It’s been a chaotic week for this baby - I’m so relieved he seems to be ok.

Absolutely adorableI would’ve been so on edge thinking of him still sat in transit, especially with a delay, I’m glad this little one will be sleeping comfortably will a full belly tonight

Baby has been eating, basking, and resting all day!!! It’s been a chaotic week!

He’s been to Vegas, Kentucky, and Alabama! And is super famous at our local UPS.

He seems super relaxed and so happy to be home and warm!!

I’m so scared to soak the baby… I know she/he needs to be soaked but I worry so much about the stress and water getting into his nose or moith

Bless you don’t worry, some get so fussy during soak time, just make sure the water is only reaching the bottom of his shell when he stands, don’t worry if he appears stressed, it can actually make good exercise for them and gets them pooping lol

Dont worry, they get used to soaking. Here are my three doing their daily soak. They get 20-30 minutes a day in shallow 95-98 degree water. I use a cooking thermometer to check the temps. They almost always poop in there.

The 2 larger (Nebula and Gamora) are a little bit older. They’re from different a breeder from the smaller one (Mantis).

Our world traveler is still showing great signs! Super active, basking, eating, and sprawling out those baby legs in her afternoon snack of grass, clovers, cucumber, squash (testing to see if she will eat it) sprinkled with some lovely dried dandelion greens from Tortoise Supply!!!

She is doing GREAT!!! I took her to the vet today for a drop off wellness exam just to get her established at a vet. they weighed her, looked for any symptoms of RI, and actually gave me a small small dose of an oral antibiotic. They said she was a huge hit and everyone loved her! Dr Davis (my vet) said that she has the best personality ever!!! I am so lucky!!!!
