Help with an identification

I have been taking a look around my yard as what would be a good source of food. I have a lot of dandelion around the yard and some thistles, but I am wondering about the one that I have attached. I think it is a wild violet. Please help because I have a lot of it and would like to know if I can feed it to a tort.

I live in West Central Wisconsin. Close to the Minnesota boarder. I wish I could tell you what color the flower is but i do not remember and it has not flowered yet. Like I stated, I have a lot of it in a flower bed and my wife would like to get rid of it but I have stalled her for now until I know if I can feed it to a tort.

I don't think it's violet either. My garden is full of violets and they don't look like that

Not at all sure what that is but it doesn't look like a violet to me either.
