In general, they don't do well with environmental changes. I'd leave them at one location if the parent they're staying with can be trusted enough to care for them in your absence. Sorry to hear about your situation BTW. :(

Leave in one place of the person you leave them with will take care of them while you are gone.
If not set up as identical an enclosure as they are used to.
Sorry about your parents, that's ruff.

You are naturally not happy about this situation, but don't stress yourself too much at this time. You will need to take things one day at a time, and wait and see what will work out for the best. It is good that you came here for help! Folks here are very caring and will gladly give you their support. Welcome to the forum 🙂.
