I got my year old sulcata from a breeder in phoniex az. I took him/her to it's pen and now it keeps walking around the edge and is not eating. Is this normal behavior? Stress?

Sounds pretty normal to me. Would also be normal if it tucked in and didn't move for awhile. Always
freaks new owners out, but don't worry. If it can see out of the sides it may not stop though, some torts will never stop trying to "get to the other side" if they can see the other side.

What sort of pen is he in? You may need a visual barrier. If its already solid then he likely just acting like a sulcata. When on turn mine loose on five walled acres, they pace the perimeter too.

When I got mine for the first time it didn't eat for a day then it started warming up to it and eating a little. Now it eats like a regular tortoise.

Very normal. New environments can stress out tortoises, or just cause them to be extra curious for a period of time. How long ago did you receive the tortoise?

I have a 6" visual barrier, and I got my tortoise 2 days ago
