Hello!

My 20 year old Hermann's tort, Speedy, is currently in hibernation. He's been in the fridge since Dec. 1st. He pooped some time in the last two days, and I discovered it today, so I took him out and removed the feces. It was very dry, so I don't think he has peed.
However, he opened his eyes while I had him out (which was for like two minutes), and I'm worried if I have done something wrong. Should I wake him up completely, or let him settle in the fridge again?

It sounds like his digestive tract wasn't totally cleaned out before he brumated. I would be worried there's still more inside him. It might not be a bad idea to set him up indoors and wake him up. . . lights, heat, the whole nine yards. Give him a good soak, for a half hour or so, and then set him up in an indoor enclosure until he can go back outside in the spring.
