Hi! I'm Russell from Louisiana.

And I am the proud co-owner of a 4" sulcata that I purchased for my daughter. I've kept various reptiles most of my life, but this is my first tortoise.

A little about myself:

I was born and raised in New Orleans, however I now live in Slidell. I'm an Extension/County Agent for the LSU AgCenter in Orleans Parish. My education is in horticultural systems and entomolgy. My hobbies are gardening, sailing, reef keeping, and pets.

I look forward to learning as much as I can here and also contributing when I can.

Welcome Russell. My hubby lived in Slidell for 6 mos when he was adjusting for hurricane Katrina and rode out Rita there. Met some very nice people that looked out for him and made sure he had hot meals. Post some tortie pictures when you can!
