Hibernation

So, my tortoise didn't hibernate this year. However, this week after I soaked him, (Sunday) he decided to burrow and hasn't come back up. I'm concerned that he has decided now would be the time to hibernate. What should I do?

It's sort of like you've brought your animal to the vet, blindfolded the vet's eyes, then asked him to diagnose your animal's problem. I don't mean to sound flippant, but you've not givens us any details. We can't be much help unless we know more. What kind of tortoise is it. What is the habitat like. What kind of heat/lights do you use. What do you feed. A picture of the enclosure, including the lights would be very helpful.
