My tortoise seems extremely active lately, more so than normal and is also eating more than usual. I am curious on if this is normal behavior being that hibernation weather is coming up?

Hopefully someone more experienced will come along, as I've only had my tortoise for around six months. I am also prepping him for hibernation, and he seems to just lie there waiting for winter. Then again, your tortoise may be completely different; I imagine that they deal with lowering temperatures in their own way.
I'm sure someone else will be able to give you more succinct information. I'm not completely sure of this topic either :).

Thank you!
The last day or two now she had started to slow down and already seems to be sleeping more.

What species? Where are you?

I have a Russian tortoise and I live in Lebanon Pennsylvania. The weather has gotten cooler recently and she has now slowed down quite a bit.
Thank you for your response.
