Hi! My tortoise (who is now around 2 and a half to 3 years old - Herman) went into hibernation without me preparing him to, as I wasn't going to start hibernating him until he was older. Does anyone know if I can wake him up safely to make sure he's hydrated and doesn't have food in his intestines?? Thanks

They're pretty smart cookies. They don't "go into hibernation" until they've pooped out whatever is in their digestive tract. They stop eating for a couple weeks before that event, so basically he's probably ok. If you want to get him up and soak him, a lot of people do, it's not harmful.
