Hibernation

I have a Russian tortoise names Murtle and lately she hasn't been doing much activity and she always seems to be sleeping and doesn't eat. I thought she was sick but my friend mentioned that she might be hibernating. Is that a possibility?

My first question would be, where roughly in the world are you located? For most of us in here, the answer would be no, it's the wrong time of year. What temps are you keeping her at? Does she have lighting if so for how long a day?
