horse field tortoise

Hi my tortoise has been a bit lame on his left side for about a week he is eating OK and is his normal self any ideas on what it could be ?

Russian tortoises are always trying to escape. We can only guess what happened to him, but my guess is he was trying to climb the wall, and slipped down, injuring his leg in some way. If it doesn't clear up by itself, you may want to visit a tortoise vet.

Thanx Yvonne how long do you think I should leave it ?

Try warm water soaks in a tub he can't climb out of. If he's not improved in a week, I'd go to the vet.
