Hot Weather

We've been having some hotter weather lately (in the UK) and the vivarium I'm using has been getting hotter than it should be. That is, the temperature in the middle is 82-83F, compared to the 80F I aim for.

Whilst our weather doesn't tend to get too hot compared to some other countries, my flat (apartment) certainly does get hot and there is little I can do about it.

I'm concerned that come the hotter weather in summer, the vivarium will be getting too hot, and I'll have no way of cooling it.

Does anyone have any suggestions on maintaining 80F even in hot weather?

You can turn off the light during the middle of the day when the apartment starts heating up, then turn it back on in the evening.

Thanks for the reply.
The heat light is connected to a thermostat which turns off when the temp is 80F in the middle of the vivarium.
Do you think it would make a difference if I turned it off completely, even though it's turning itself off?
What about the basking light, which is meant to be on all day?

just leave the UVB on, turn everything else off.

a healthy tortoise can handle 20~30C
