How much is a tortoise set up?

I am trying to get a tortoise an I know how much they cost but I kind of need some help with how much would it cost for all the equipment to raise a tortoise?

Oh thats hard cause it really depends on what kind of tort and how much room you have. I would say 200 on the cheap end for full start up: some sort of enclosure like a large tupper ware tote, calcium and vitamins, food and water dish( terra cotta plant saucers are cheap) light fixture, good uv bulb (can't go cheap here) substrate.

Could I maybe go small at first or should I go all out with it already because the terrarium I need is only for a baby Greek Tortoise or/and Hermann tortoise.

You can start smaller with a hatchling but they grow out of it pretty quick. If you are handy or have a handy friend, I suggest building a tortoise table from wood. Cheap and will last you as your tort grows

I like that idea! I will do it! Also, I have been hatching up some safe rocks that my tortoise climb on and explore, is that a good idea?

I would play on the safe side just to min the flip hazzards while their young. I have mini mountaind and hills made out of rocks and sbstrate the can climb up but not fall off of. Here is a link for ideas:

You may need more humidity for baby tortoises. So maybe put some humid hides throughout the tort table.
