Good morning/evening/afternoon

My tortoise Luka has a pen mark on his bottom shell (see picture). The guy that sold me the tort marked him, so he could tell them apart. Anyways, I am wondering how I can remove it? He told me to use pure alcohol (the stuff to clean/desinfect, not the one you drink :D), but I'm scared it might be too strong or damage his shell. Or is it ok to use?

Ideas anyone?

Thank you ascott, but I couldn't find the thread. (Do you happen to have a link?)

I found a thread but it was about marking tortoise with nail polish.
But how do I get pen marks off. :/

Alright! Thanks! I was just worried it would stay there (forever :)) if I don't rub it off (or it might be toxic...).
But in that case, I'll just leave it there. It doesn't bother me and it doesn't bother Luka neither. :D

I believe that was the general census in the thread as well unless it was pink nail polish...as I recall a link dot of polish still adorn one of members tortoise for some time....LOL

A bit of rubbing alcohol won't bother your skin, and a tortoise's skin is a LOT tougher. It should be fine.

Madkins007 has a good point, small amount of rubbing alcohol might work.
