I grabbed some hummingbird butterfly mix for the yard but then looked up some of the seeds and some are safe but a few I couldn't find info on.

Does anyone see anything that isn't good?

Black walnut shells are toxic. If you bury the seeds (along with the shells) so the tortoise can't get to them it should be ok.

Nice save. I didn't know about the walnut shells.
My wife has bird seed mix and it is mostly Rapeseed and Millet that grow the best and fastest and that my tortoises chomp on if they get a chance.
I don't think these would attract butterflies, etc.

Thank you! I think I'll just sprinkle them in an area where I can just cut what I need!

Ed, I think you guys are talking about 2 different seed mixes. It looks like OP is talking about seed that you plant in your garden to attract butterflies and hummingbirds, yours seem to be the bird feeder seeds. Anyways, I didn't know about the black walnut shells either

I know that lupine is toxic to livestock, especially in large quantities.
