This is my greek tortoise I got a year ago that passed away. I got curious to know what subspecies is it. Would anybody tell me what subspecies is it ?

It looks like a Hermanns tortoise to me but I'm unfamiliar with all the color variations of the Greeks

Never mind . I sent a pic of it to my expert buddy and he said Greek

Its defiantly a greek. see the large scales on his legs. that is one indication. Hermanns don't have does. Also check from behind. You'll see a spur on his hind legs. =)

He looked Ibera but the lighting throws me off. He also looks like a testudo graeca graeca. Sorry for your lost. I bet you was a great owner! Glad that he got to be with somebody that cared for him.

It Looks like gracea gracea i think.
You can see that on color muster on the head. But it could be also terrestris or marrokensis
I don't know really what it is. But it can't be Ibera or other subspecies which live in the east of Europe and in the west of Asian.
