introducing sulcatas

hi i have a sulcata that i bought as a hatchling in feb of 2008 and i resently obtain a new hatchling that hatch in july of 2008 i was wondering if i could put them in the same enclosure

You should quarantine the newest hatchling for at least 2 months before you introduce them.

they are probably young enough to get along. it seems like as they get older its a hit or miss whether they will get along. At least if they are both male

Quarantine the new one for 4 to 6 months. Take a fecal to the Vet to make sure he is free of parasites...

Hi...Maggie is right. Take a fresh poop sample to your reptile vet in the next few days. Then take another to the vet in about 3-4 months. If the fecal is negative both times, it is a good chance that he is clear of parasites. Before you ever let the vet give injections, check on here for advice. They often over medicate, and that makes things worse. In the meantime be sure to give him about a 20 minute soak in warm water every day...before offering him food.
