Hello all!!!

My name is Tulip! I am a 4 and half year old Sulcata. I enjoy broccoli stalks and long soaks. I love my owner, Erica. She's so kind to me and since we're so close we even share the same bed which is okay b/c she's not a blanket hog. We're bff's, all day long. I am pretty healthy as far as Erica can tell. I got a little cold right now so that is why we decided to join this lovely forum so we could get some advice and meet other torts/peeps just like us! If you have any advice about my sniffles that would be great in the meantime we're going to search the forum for any relevant threads that may be helpful.

Hi Erica:

Welcome to the Tortoise Forum!

May we know where you are?

Warm Tulip up a little more that normal. It will help her fight the sniffles. And its not a good idea to keep her out of her habitat. They need structure in their lives. She may just have a runny nose from the stress of not having her own habitat all the time.

Welcom Tulip! maybe you can talk Erica into takeing some candid shots of you so we can all see how special you are

BTW that's WalkingRock in my signature, He's 11 and has his own Batchlor Pad and Park-like backyard for all his Tortiose Needs.

Hi Tulip! Do you ever forget yourself and have an messy accident in Erica's bed? Beds are nice, but does your human keep it warm enough for you? Wouldn't you be so much happier and safer in your own home??

Very nice pics! She looks camoflaged in the 3rd pic! You say shes 4? in the next year or so she'll be spending more time outdoors and will start growing at an almost exponitial rate. When WalkingRock was 5 he weighed in at about 10 lbs maybe... now he is 11 and 73 lbs...I expect him to top 100 lbs in the next 2.5-3 years. Is your yard ready for your baby Dinosaur?
