Hi - I am a new tortiose mother - baby is a Hermann's named Artimus - was going to name him Echo but a customer in LLL Reptile in Ca stated he looked like an articchoke so Artimus (Arte) it is.
have a question - On day 1 he ate all day long - Day 2 he buried himself somewhere in his Vision cage and did not appear all day - is this normal - he is about 1 inch long. Thanks

Hi, and welcome to the Forum!

It sometimes takes a while for tortoises to learn they are safe in their new home. However, in the mean time, be sure everything is correct in the habitat.

Is it warm enough? Do you have good lighting? Are you offering the right kind of food? etc.
