I was wondering if it was normal that my RF, Hector, stays in his hide most of the day. When we first got him last week he was very social. But now it seems like all he wants to do is stay in his little hiding place all the time. I was just wondering if it could be cuz he was in a new place or what. And also how much should he be eating? I fed him Monday and he hasn't eaten since, but yet I have tried. I fed him Kale and zucchini that day but now he won't touch it. I'm very new to this whole tortoise thing so any advice will be me appreciated:)

start reading the redfoot section for diet, heating, humidity.
They dont like a lot of light.. they like if darker..
it could be due to everything being new.. BUT.. if he was fine the first few days and now is not.. its something else.

In the Tortoise Library in my signature, I have articles to help people with things like diet, housing, etc. that may be helpful.

My first thought is temperature. Do you know what the temps are in the hide, main area, etc.?
