Is my sulcatas shell normal?

My little Cherrys shell sometimes scares me. I look at other healthy baby sulcatas and no other has the same pattern. Take a look and tell me what you think

Each has its own pattern. That's not a concern. However, it does look like there is some slight pyramiding starting. Please read Toms threads below in my post for proper raising of a healthy, smooth sulcata.

It's entirely normal for some Sulcata's to have patterns, eventually they fade over time. Be sure to raise him/her hot and humid!

Totally normal to have a pattern. I think yours pattern is pretty cool.

Thanks guys ! I'm new to all this, never had a tortoise before, so this is very helpful and I'm open to all tips. What is pyramiding ? How is it caused ? And how can I stop it !!!

Looks like he's had a dry beginning. Are you simulating the African rainy season? Did the person you got him from simulate the african rainy season?

I got my sulcata at a petshop and they had 3 babies in a 20 gallon tank with rocks as the bedding a water bowl that was dirty and a little shelter with a heating lamp over it

How are you housing it now? That will determine whether the growth eventually starts to get better or continues on its current path.

I currently have it the same way , with a bowl where I put its food and little shelter rock bedding and a 75 watt heating lamp

There is a lot of sulcata info in my signature if you would like to improve things and stop the pyramiding that is already starting.

I think I pointed out in another thread the problems with your current set up.
