I have had my Sulcata for about 6 months, and although I don't know when exactly he was born, I estimate he's about a year old.

I know Pyramiding is a thing if their environment isn't suitable (I think it is, based on guides I've followed on here), but I was wondering is his shell looking "normal" for his age?

It looks slightly pyramided...how's the humidity for him? Are you soaking him daily? about 80% humidity

Pretty much, yeah. I had to adapt a table by covering and insulating it to get the humidity levels, but the temps, UV and heat are all within what Tom's guide says and he gets daily baths anything up to an hour.

He did have that "hump" on the front plate when I first got him, so maybe it was already developing in whatever conditions he was in prior to buying him. Hopefully he can grow out of that and even his shell out a bit.

The tortoise is definitely pyramided. How is your UV light situation? Inadequate UV light may also be a cause of pyramiding if your humidity and temps are actually OK. You need a Solarmeter 6.5 model to properly measure the UV output of your light. You need a reading of about 3.0 to 3.3 at "tortoise level" to get enough UV to the animal.

Also you need to put good calcium and vitamin supplements on its food, such as Ultrafine Rep-Cal and Herptivite.
