So far Turt is doing well. He sleeps, eats, and circles his enclosure probably plotting his escape. I replaced his spot lamp with a led light bulb, and he seems to be able to see his food better than when he just had the basking spot lamp providing light, so he's eating much better and he doesn't try to eat everything he sees anymore. Other than that he just acts like a tortoise should. I haven't noticed him stopping randomly and falling asleep anymore since I changed his substrate to cypress mulch blended with coco fiber. Overall doing better, I'm so relieved he's doing good, and even happier that I decided to make this thread when I did.
