Hello everyone, I have been living in south america for 2 years, recently I aquired 2 native wild yellow foots, built them an outside enclosure and have fallen in love with these tortoises. They are both behaving normally based on what I have read however the shell on one of them looks much different than other tortoises.

Can you tell me if it is a normal shell or if I need to start treatment for something wrong with the shell.

Normal shells on them both . The white lines are growth rings . This is good.

They look great. No need to worry. What part of South America are you from if you don't mind me asking?

Thank you for the reassurance. I really love these little guys. My wife and I live in Guyana on the coast. Hopefully soon we will get to see some leatherback turtles. Thank you again. I will post pics of the enclosure soon. And I will be asking more questions I'm sure.

This is an old thread, but I'd like to comment anyway. The tortoise on the right has only 5 vertebral scutes while the one on the right extra scutes top and sides.
