Hello, I am wondering if 70 is too cold for nighttime temp in the cool side of the enclosure for a hatchling Hermanns?

Daytime temps are good and nighttime temp on warm side stays in high 70s.

Sometimes he sleeps on the warm side but sometimes burrows in the cold side. I’m worried he’s getting too cold when sleeping on the cold side. His shell temp was 85 this morning.

70 overnight is a good temp for a hatchling hermanni. Be sure basking area directly under the bulb during the day time is around 95. If the baby basks excessively throughout the day, you may need to warm up the ambient temperature a bit.

Basking area is usually 95-100 depending on when I mist since it drops the temp for just a bit.

He does bask in the morning but also that’s where he eats too. The rest of the day he wonders around all over the enclosure.
