We just joined the forum and got our baby tortoises today! This is Peter and Lois (yes we are Family Guy fans!). Peter is about 5" long and Lois is about 4" long. We are guessing that they are around 6 months old. Anyway, just wanted to introduce ourselves!

Thank you! By the way, we live in Tampa where it's nice and warm!
We want to know if the pyramiding is normal, or can you tell by the pix?

Hi PeterandLois:

Welcome to the Tortoise Forum!!

May we know your name?

They both show some pyramiding, and they might be past the correction stage, but you can still offer them a moist habitat or maybe a humid hiding place and it may help smooth the new growth out.

The amount of pyramiding in your tortoises is purely cosmetic and is not harmful at all.

Thank you! Glad to know about the pyramiding. I am Alicia and my fiance Phil (they're actually his tortoises).
