Izzie's unwell

Hi everyone,
I havent been on here in a little while but i have found out some devastating news.
We had to take Izzie to the vets on Tuesday as her shell was soft. We were told that she has metabolic bone syndrome where she is growing too fast and not properly. We are hoping to get her better, doing all we can. She may not make it.
We have changed her diet and got some calcium and other supplements that the vet suggested.
Fingers crossed she will be okay!

Sorry to hear this. Sunshine too is helpful, so make sure she is getting that. If she can't be outside (supervised closely or in a safe enclosure), then have on a good UVB light. The best diet in the world won't help, if she isn't getting the light to process and use it.

I'm sorry to hear, try and stay positive over there. They are a lot stronger than we give them credit for. As stated above....sunshine. Please keep us updated.
