I read an article that the San Diego feeds their Sulcata’s Kale. I bought some today and gave mine a small amount and he loved it and wanted more. I haven’t found on any other site that this was good or bad for them but if the zoo feeds it to them how bad can it be?

Kale is high in oxalic acid which binds calcium into calcium oxalate making it unavailable to tort. A small amount probably would'nt hurt but as major part of diet, no. I myself don't feed it.

Thank you for the response. I try to keep his diet 75% different types of grasses.

I guess I’ll be having Kale tonight with dinner.
:)
