I would like to have this thread to update on Keto today I weighted him he is now at 174 g yay and 5.2 inches. Yay my baby is growing! In 2 weeks he went from 150g to gain 24 g...

I don't know if that's a huge gain weight but it's good he is gaining weight.. I think.

That's a significant gain.
I usually weigh once a month because the weight fluctuates wildly with moisture intake.
Different foods and soaking will make it go up and down.
A steady weight gain in good.

Ok good to know I just wants to make sure he is adapting well... Oh so that's why the first week he gained 17 g then now 7g cause it varies a lot? Good to know I was all scared thinking maybe 7g in the 2nd week wasn't enough.

In any case I weight him only once a week.

So small update! He has been eating a lot yesterday and today. I noticed he doesn't climb into things around his enclosure.

Only when I give him his daily soak he gets super active and try to climb. But that's during his soak with warm water.

I don't weigh babies. I place one on a clean sheet of blank paper then trace its outline, marking the date. Then, in a month or so, I place him again on that same paper, over the previous tracing, and make a new tracing, with the date.

What do you consider a baby? Keto is 2 years old. So he isn't a hatchling.

I think the background info you got on him might be incorrect. If he's only 174g I seriously doubt he's 2 years old. I have a 5 month old that's 140g. I think he's much younger than two.

Sorry, I guess I wasn't paying attention. When they get bigger, I stop tracing them and start weighing them, but I only weigh once a year. Keto is only 5", so he still fits on a sheet of paper.

He spent 2 years in a poor diet. Eating only lettuce and dry dog food. Now I'm giving him a varied diet and he has gained 24g in 2 weeks..
