I just became responsible for a floor sized sully (16 inches, 17 pounds). Her indoor enclosure will be 5 feet by 10 feet. What substrate should I use? I am covering a concrete floor with a tarp. Please help us.

Greetings...

I wanted to first provide you with the Sully Care Sheet, it might provide lots of answers to general questions regarding proper temperatures, food, lighting, and humidity requirements.

For your substrate, you might be able to find 100 % Cypress Mulch in your Home Depot or Lowes garden centers. Our Lowes only had a few bags left for the season.
  • Stay away from cedar and pine mulch, as well as other mulches that are dyed artificial colors.

You might also look into Kane heat mats for a heat source - https://kanemfg.com/products/pets/pet-heat-mats/
