Does anyone keep these in Southern Florida? I'd like to get them but am unsure if they can handle the humidity down here.

Although I'm not in Florida, there are people keeping leopards there. You most certainly can do it.
Humidity isn't a problem at all for leopards....COLD temps WITH humidity are.

Have you read the leopard tortoise care sheet in the African tortoise section? You might be surprised to see just how humid these guys l like it.

Here is my almost 3 year old that was raised in high humidity.... he'd have loved Florida!

My leopards were hatched in Miami.....weather there must be good for them to facilitate breeding.

Warm weather, high humidity, sounds like perfect tortoise weather. :)

Lots of people do it as well as sulcatas but just because we live in south florida it still gets cold so keep updated on the weather oi personally have a thermometer that tells me when it is too cold

You need to read Toms threads below in my post, both the Sulcata and leopard ones. You asking this question, tells me you are searching all the wrong information. High humidity is the best friend of most species.

I raise both Gpp and Gpb leopards on the east coast of florida, and have fantastic results. Only time you'll have problems is leaving them out when it's wet and cold, but that goes for everywhere.

Pictured below is a 20" female Gpb an exceptionally dark 14" 5 year old male Gpp from Tom, and a 10" 1.5year old Gpp I raised from a hatchling.

wow. 10 inches at 1.5 years. i wish mine were that big.
i estimate mine to be 1 year olds, biggest is nearing 5 inches, smallest is approaching 4 inches, but they are gpb or probably mixes.
