Hi my names reese I’ve posted on here a couple of times, but lately I’ve noticed even tho I keep my leopard tortoise Kevin in high humidity he’s starting to show signs of pyramiding. I live in Florida and let him get some regular sun with me at least once a week even though he also has a uvb lamp. He’s about 10 months old now almost a year and I thought we were doing good but as I studied him during his daily soak I noticed. Any thing helps! Thank you!

If you are using a mercury vapor bulb, that is the problem. Even in 100%humidity 24/7 and using a mercury bulb you will get pyramiding.
Also the Babcocki leopards are harder to grow smooth.
Change out the bulb or don't use one at all as long as you can get him outside a few times a week.
Beautiful leopard though.
